I’ve explored many ideas in my outdoor sculpture . . . from the peace that settles when you mindfully walk a labyrinth, to the impact of invasive species — including plastic and automobiles — on our environment. In Chrysalis I invited friends and family to send me wishes for the well being of people they care about, and wove them into a structure of branches and yarn made from recycled silk saris. Family Tree explored the concept of family and inheritance . . . in the process I learned that who I am is the result of much more than my DNA and my blood relatives.
